No one was hearing, no one was prepared,
words through aeons were lost like dust,
and yet asphyxiating the lowest of atavistic remembrances,
everyone knew of their return.
An uneasy intuition, barely conscious,
stressing, distressing, scorching inside,
but yet undefined, emergent but unnamed,
was how they warned them of their awakening time,
deceiving, misleading,
the senses were not perceiving
this evil just gleaning
their expectations and their hopes,
Air turning grey, a thickening fog,
spider-like legs emerging from the void,
a maddening terror now gazing from above,
and each and every one having nowhere to go,
Silver in dark, they came piercing the night,
tearing the deep blue of the starring abyss,
teaching all the past ages with a flash,
suddenly wise, no one was left unknowing,
waving despair through hearts and razing fear,
they see now clouds like dry blood covering the sky
and the dread of a rising black dawn.
Their newfound knowledge brings them
a raving, final torment.
Shouts, word-scrambled shrieks and screams,
predict catastrophe, divine punishment,
while the minions of the netherworld start to steal
and grab
all the souls they can with a open hand,
their return was foreseen, their cruelty only theorized,
deceiving, misleading,
the senses were not perceiving
this evil just gleaning
the expectations and hopes of all them, human beings.
Their impossible figures
covering the canopy of the sky,
like dry blood clouds,
black fog tendrils that touch every mind
infuse ancient terrors
for which there is no disguise,
the most hideous horror
is nothing under their sight.
Silver in dark, retching heinous lights,
clouds like dry blood that covers the sky,
teaching all the past ages with a flash,
and the dreadful sight of a malign, rising black dawn.
Silver in dark, they came piercing the night,
tearing the deep blue of the starring abyss,
teaching all the past ages with a flash,
suddenly wise, no one was left unknowing,
clouds like dry blood
covering the sky
and the dread of a rising black dawn.
